About Us
Dr. Jay Ruparelia:
Dr. Ruparelia, a former Sevenoaks School student, went onto receive his Dental degree at The London Hospital in 1988.
Following an 8 year associateship at London House, he went onto setting up his own practice in Riverhead in 1977.
He resides in Riverhead, with his wife Diane, and two teenage children.
In February 2005, the Practice moved to Tubs Hill Parade, a new set up that was designed by Chelsea Harbour based interior designer, and local resident, Brian Lawrence (www.brianlawrence.net). Brian has helped to design a modern, bright, and comfortable interior, carefully chosen colours, and furniture, that will provide a calming effect for our patients.
Dr. Ruparelia has surrounded himself with an excellent team of professionals, to carry out his commitment to quality patient care. Wendy, his Dental Nurse, has been with him from the beginning. Diane & Zoe, are the practice Hygienists, that help to deliver preventive services. Prevention is more enjoyable, less costly, and more comfortable than treatment that would be after unhealthy situations take over.
Dr. Ruparelia has committed himself to further his skills, and has now completed his Certificate in Restorative Dentistry - a 5 year Diploma programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital (Part of the University College London).
Dr. Ruparelia has committed himself to the study of aesthetic full mouth rehabilitation. His advanced training at the prestigious state of the art Spear Dental Institute in Scottsdale Arizona has helped Dr. Ruparelia provide the highest level of care for his patients.
The Practice is keen to provide a service for the whole family.
Dr Bhavini Patel
We at JR Dental are privileged to have Dr Patel join our caring team.
Dr Patel graduated at The Royal London Dental Hospital in 2004. Her early years were spent in hospital posts of Oral Surgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy's Hospital, St Thomas's Hospital and King's College Hospital in London.
After gaining valuable hospital based experience in all aspects of surgical dentistry, she went on to working in private practice, concentrating in aesthetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.
Bhavini has a keen interest in the field of aesthetic adult orthodontics, and is a certified Inman and Six Month Smile practitioner.
She has attended numerous courses including mastering the art of smile makeovers at the advanced training institute, and Bonding in the Smile Frame run by internationally acclaimed expert, Didier Dietschi in Geneva.
Recently she completed the year long Aesthetic Dentistry & Cosmetic Dentistry Course run by the world renowned clinician, Dr Chris Orr, president of the British Academy for Cosmetic Dentists.
Bhavini enjoys sculpture, learning about different cultures, and her favourite of all being diving!
Wendy - Dental Nurse.
She is also the heart & soul of the practice. Usually the first person you will speak to on the telephone. Her tasks also include managing our practice in the day to day matters.
Wendy is highly experienced, having graduated in 1973. She has received extensive training in Orthodontic nursing, Endodontic assisting, and lately in Cosmetic Dentistry. In fact she is responsible for choosing colour shades for crowns & veneers.
She is the proud mother to 3 boys, and her youngest is a professional Opera singer.
Diane Newman RDH - Dental Hygienist.
She is highly committed to helping our patients achieve and maintain healthy mouths. Her caring and calming chairside manner is highly valued by all our patients.
She was brought up in Otford, and is the proud mother of 2 children. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, walking, and is a keen artist.
Zoe Wyatt RDH - Dental Hygienist.
Zoe first joined our practice as an assistant. She advanced her knowledge to Dental Health Educator before starting her Hygiene training. She qualified at Kings College in 2001.
Zoe now sees patients on Saturdays only. She is regularly updating her knowledge by attending a number of post graduate seminars.
She is keen at keeping fit, and regularly attends the Gym.
